The Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose state has reacted after Senate President Bukola Saraki dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party. The Governor took to his Twitter page to react as he urged other APC members to follow the Senate President. He tweeted: “Good to hear that three prominent Nigerians left APC house of tyranny today. I welcome my brother and friend, Senator Bukola Saraki and Kwara Governor, Alhaji Ahmed to out great party, the PDP. Together, we must rescue Nigeria and its people from these tyrants. When the person elected to defend and promote a ruling party chooses to dump the party for the main opposition party, such a party has ended. The deputy governor of Imo, Eze Madumere, was in the afternoon of Monday, July 30, impeached by the state’s House of Assembly. It was learnt that 19 out of the 27 members took the decision to get him parking.

Senator Dino Melaye has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen on his way to Kogi from Abuja. Senator, Ben Murray Bruce, said in a tweet that Melaye was abducted by  unknown gunmen . Another report said armed men attacked Senator Dino Melaye in Gwagwalada on his way to Lokoja this morning. Melaye who is to appear before the magistrate court sitting in Lokoja today in a case of alleged arms running was attacked by armed men who were reported to have blocked his way in a Government Hilox and a Sienna bus. As we speak, his whereabout is yet unknown. I have just been informed by Moses Melaye,  @dino_melaye ’s brother, that Dino has been abducted by unknown persons in a Toyota Sienna that blocked their car and overpowered them on their way to Kogi to answer to Dino’s court case.
