Biafra: This is why APGA has commended FG

– Some members of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) who were arrested by various security agencies in Abia state were released
– The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Oye has expressed gratitude towards the federal government on this grounds
– He thanked all the men and women of good will who facilitated the release and urges them not to relent until absolute peace and harmony is achieved in Nigeria

The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Oye, has commended federal government for the bold and patriotic step taken in the release of some of the members and supporters of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) detained in Aba, Abia state.
He says the magnanimity shown by the federal government by this gesture is one of the shortest and surest ways to the peace and unity of Nigeria, which is not negotiable.
More so he thanks all the men and women of good will who facilitated the release and urges them not to relent until absolute peace and harmony is achieved in Nigeria.
Moreover, the APGA national chairman implores the federal government to extend its patriotic gesture to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,who has been in detention for awhile now. So that he will be able to take care of his family and the newly born baby.
Dr Oye also urges the government to open more avenues and channels of discussion with all the other groups,who are protesting and demanding self determination and separate entities from the Nigeria,for the common good of all.
Meanwhile, he urges all Nigerians to love one another and be law abiding.
The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, released all the IPOB members who were arrested and detained by various security agencies in Aba, Abia state, during their prayer rally in February this year.
This caused jubilation by some members of IPOB, expressed happiness in various parts of Onitsha, Anambra state, on Thursday, August 11, after the news circulated.
The group reacting to the release of its members in a statement to newsmen in Onitsha said all IPOB members worldwide under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, were commending the AGF and all those who have common sense to understand that all those arrested in Aba must be released.
Mr Emma Powerful, the IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, described the release of their members as a good omen.
